ABOUT THE PTO
Our MISSION
The Parkview Parent Teacher Organization (the “PTO”) strives to foster student learning and community building at Parkview Elementary School by coordinating fundraising campaigns, supporting curriculum enrichment, facilitating communication and social involvement among families and staff, and helping students and families in need.
WHAT IS A PTO?
The Parkview Parent Teacher Organization is a coalition of families, teachers, and staff dedicated to enhancing the student experience at Parkview Elementary school.
In 2016 we transitioned from our relationship with the Parent Teacher Association of America to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to allow greater flexibility to suit the specific interests of our school community.
By restructuring to a board consisting of President, Treasurer, Secretary and co-equal Vice Presidents the PTO is better able to direct communication and allocate the limited resources (time and money) in ways that fulfill the PTO’s mission.
Ultimately, the PTO is you: parents and guardians of Parkview Elementary students who work to craft and fulfill goals designed to enhance the student experience on campus, at home, and in the community. We hope to see a whole lot from you throughout the year and look forward to sharing this experience with you and your family.
