ABOUT COORDINATOR & COMMITTEE POSITIONS
AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE
Program Coordinator: VP of Enrichment
Approximate time commitment is 15-20+ hours ahead of each enrollment period in the Fall, Winter and Spring, depending on number of committee members.
Help design and manage our after school enrichment program! The ASE committee works to bring programming designed to enhance and supplement school day curriculum. This position requires a detail oriented and self motivated person with excellent communication skills.
Communications COMMITTEE
Program Coordinator: VP of Communications
Help promote PTO events and important dates through printed flyers, social media (Instagram and Facebook) and the PTO website (Squarespace). Maintain the student directory in Excel and manage the related email groups via our Google Admin account. Committee members must have a Facebook account, and should be comfortable using technology.

Student welcome events, including Bamboo, Back to School Popsicle Social, and Kinder + Promise K welcomes.
Teacher + Staff Appreciation Events (Monthly)
5th Grade Commencement Luncheon Planning Committee
Coordinate and manage Room Reps with periodic reminders about classroom directed teacher appreciation.
Help us welcome new students and celebrate our wonderful Parkview teachers and staff! Help with one aspect or all.
FUNDRAISING Event Committee
Program Coordinator: VP of Fundraising
MOVE-A-THON (10+ hours in September/October)
Dine Out Nights (1-2 hours month of events)
Scholastic Book Fair (5-10 hours month of event)
Help raise money for the PTO! The Fundraising Event Planning Committee works closely with the VP of Fundraising and other Board members to raise money while hosting fun events for the Parkview community. Take the lead on a single event, or help support through delegated tasks.
GARDEN Committee
Program Coordinator: VP of Enrichment
Approximate time commitment is 5-10 hours in the Fall, Winter and Spring.
Tend to our School-Based Food Education garden! Common Threads gives students the opportunity to learn about and fall in love with life-long healthy food choices from an early age at school. Kids help care their school garden in the Fall and Spring, and work together to prepare simple, healthy, vegetable-based recipes during the Winter months.
PANDA WEAR COORDINATOR
Program Coordinator: VP of Fundraising
Approximate time commitment is 5-10 hours ahead of each order, typically in the Fall and Spring.
Help design and choose Panda Wear items! This is a great job for someone with experience with graphic design, but it is not required. The Panda Wear Coordinator will also help reach out to our list of sponsors to raised funds for our free MOVE-A-THON shirts.

Approximate time commitment is 5-10 hours the month of each event (November and December).

YEARBOOK Committee
Program Coordinator: VP of Community Engagement
Approximate time commitment is 5-10 hours in May.
Help put together and design the Parkview yearbook! This is a favorite keepsake for many of our students. We partner with a local company that uses a proprietary software that makes it easy to put it all together. This is a great project to work on with an older student! Take the lead, or help support through delegated tasks.
BSD Commitee: Parent Advisory Committee to the Superintendent
The Parent Advisory Committee to the Superintendent is comprised of parent representatives from each school. They meet with the superintendent and other district staff on a monthly basis during the school year to discuss a variety of topics, share information and broaden understanding of school-related issues.
