Volunteer Board
Are you looking for a way to get more involved in the Parkview community? The PTO has several open Board positions for the 2023-2024 school year, and we’d love you join us! The Board guides fundraising efforts, allocates funds, plans and hosts events and programs, and helps foster the school community. It’s a great way to meet other Parkview families while making a positive impact on Parkview students and the broader community! Find a list of the current PTO Board Members on our About page.
Meetings
The Board meets monthly during the school year, typically the first Monday of each month from 5:30-7:30pm. Board members should also attend the monthly General Meetings, typically the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Can’t commit to monthly meetings? Consider one of our open Coordinator positions, or join our Volunteer Pool. See our Volunteer page for more information.
Elections
Board positions are a two-year commitment. The President, Secretary, VP of Enrichment and VP of Community Engagement are elected in odd years. The Treasurer, VP of Fundraising and VP of Communications are elected in even years. If there is a vacancy on a Board seat in a non-election year, the Board may appoint and approve a replacement with a 2/3rds vote. The replacement will serve the remainder of the vacated term. See our Bylaws on our Public Records page for more information.
